Grounds for election

Faye has worked in the Archaeological Service at Suffolk County Council for over ten years, initially in the Portable Antiquities Scheme and currently as one of the senior team dealing with archaeological development control and management of the Suffolk excavation archives. She has a broad knowledge of archaeological artefacts, specialising in Roman and early medieval material, with forthcoming publications on the metal finds from various large excavation projects in Suffolk. She has compiled the catalogues for the major landscape survey and evaluation project at Rendlesham, Suffolk which includes a substantial Anglo-Saxon assemblage of international significance. She has researched the early medieval ansate brooch type in East Anglia and various late Iron Age and Roman strap fittings. Her interests also include the management of rural sites and she has co-ordinated survey work on Roman villa sites in Suffolk and on the site of the Mildenhall treasure.
