Grounds for election

Elaine Jamieson has worked in professional archaeology for over 18 years. She spent much of that time as an Archaeological Investigator with English Heritage (now Historic England), and prior to that worked for the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland as a Historic Landuse Assessment Officer, and for Addyman and Kay as a Buildings Archaeologist. At English Heritage Elaine specialised in analytical earthwork survey and landscape investigation, and has undertaken applied research on archaeological sites of all periods. Between 2006 and 2009 she was responsible for the delivery of a major inter-disciplinary landscape project on the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and has authored the monograph of this work. Elaine joined the Department of Archaeology at the University of Reading in 2015 and is now a Research Assistant working on The Leverhulme Trust funded project Extending Histories: from Medieval Mottes to Prehistoric Round Mounds.
