Grounds for election

Richard Hoggett is the Senior Archaeological Officer for the Suffolk County Council Archaeological Service. His career has included working as an Assistant Archaeologist for Cambridgeshire Archaeology, Post-Excavation Manager for NAU Archaeology, and Coastal Heritage Officer for Norfolk Historic Environment Service. His doctoral research was on 'The Archaeology of the East Anglian Conversion' and this was published by Boydell in 2010. He has also published Beyond Bede: The History and Archaeology of the East Anglian Missions (2010), and (with M. Trett) The Book of Happisburgh (2011). He has also written studies on the Medieval Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin at Sedgeford, and St Benet's Abbey in Norfolk. Richard is currently trustee and chair of the West Stow Anglo-Saxon Village Trust.
