Professor ffolliott, a graduate of Vassar College, has a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. She is a scholar of Renaissance and Baroque studies, her topics include tapestry, women patrons and collectors, the imagery and portraiture of queens and women artists. She is published by Ashgate, Brepols, Cambridge University Press, Italica Press, Oxford University Press, University of California Press, The Court Historian, Folger Library, Silvana Editoriale, Skira, University Chicago Press. She is a Board Member of The Medici Archive Project, Florence. She has Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Folger Shakespeare Library, Bunting Institute, and CASVA at the National Gallery of Art. She received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society for the Study of Early Modern Women, and made Keynote speeches for the Renaissance Society of America, Sixteenth Century Society, The Philadelphia Symposium, Archivio di Stato, Florence, and Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
