Grounds for election

Clare Randall is an osteologist and zooarchaeologist who also specialises in the archaeological interpretation of ancient fields. In 2010 she received her PhD for 'Livestock and landscape: exploring animal exploitation in later prehistory in the south west of Britain'. She was for 2 years the Research Assistant for the Universities of Bristol & Oxford AHRC funded South Cadbury Environs Project, and since 2007 has lead the South Somerset Archaeological Group in the exploration of the environs of South Cadbury and other locations in southern Somerset. She has also lectured at Bournemouth University, worked as a consultant zooarchaeologist and museum archaeologist, and is currently Archaeological Officer for Context One Archaeological Services. She is a Trustee of the Dorset Archaeological and Natural History Society and Chair of its Editorial and Publications Committee and of the Dorset Archaeological Committee. Since 2011 she has been the Treasurer of the Prehistoric Society.
