Grounds for election

Nigel Jeffries is a leading authority on medieval and post-medieval archaeological material culture. Having gained a range of professional field archaeology experience in the 1990s, since 1999 he has been the Medieval and Later Specialist at Museum of London Archaeology (MOLA). Nigel is the author and co-author of a wide range of professional publications on the archaeology of London, including most recently The Spitalfields suburb 1539–1860: excavations at Spitalfields Market 1991–2007 (MoLA Monograph Series 61, with C. Harward and N. Holder). Alongside this professional work he has developed a significant international research profile in historical archaeology, publishing academic papers in Post-Medieval Archaeology, Journal of Victorian Culture, the International Journal of Historical Archaeology, and several international edited volumes.
