Grounds for election

Manolo Guerci is an architectural historian specialising in early-modern European domestic architecture, particularly of Italy, France and England. He studied architecture (Dip. Arch., 2003) before going to Cambridge to study architectural history (M. Phil., 2004). He completed his Ph.D. at Cambridge in 2007, writing his dissertation on the Strand Palaces, London. He has been the recipient of numerous grants and scholarships, including a mid-career fellowship (current) from the Paul Mellon Centre for Studies in British Art. He has taught at Cambridge and is currently a Senior Lecturer and Director of Internationalisation at the Kent School of Architecture, Canterbury. He has published a number of articles in Italian and English journals, including a lengthy article on Northumberland House for The Antiquaries Journal (2014). He is currently completing a book on the Strand Palaces to be published by Yale University Press.
