Grounds for election

Since his appointment in 1999 as County Archaeologist for Bucks. CC, Sandy Kidd has managed a successful development of the archaeology service, including an innovative online Historic Environment Record with education materials, and a programme of urban and rural historic environment characterisation. Sandy has also become an acknowledged specialist in the use of characterisation in responding to major development proposals and has recently become a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. In 2003 Sandy was elected as Treasurer of the Association of Local Government Archaeological Officers. During this period, he has been instrumental in steering the Association through a difficult financial period and placing it on a sounder financial footing.
