He has written and edited more than 10 books, monographs and reports as well as more than 75 articles on Cultural Heritage and Neolithic European Archaeology including most recently Biehl, et. al, IDENTITY AND HERITAGE: Contemporary Challenges in a Globalized World. New York: Springer 2014. He has an active field program including excavations on the West Mound of Catal Huyuk. His career has spanned teaching on both sides of the Atlantic and presently he is Chair and Full Professor of Anthropology at the University at Buffalo. In short, he is an active outstanding scholar of prehistoric archaeology.
