Grounds for election

Dr Cobb is Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Manchester. Her research focuses on two areas: interpretive approaches to contemporary archaeological practice, and the Mesolithic and Neolithic of western Scotland and northern Irish Sea Basin. She is currently co-director of the multi-period Ardnamurchan Transitions Project and also of the Whitworth Park Community Archaeology Project. She has published widely in these fields, including as one of the editors of Reconsidering Archaeological Fieldwork (Springer, 2012). Dr Cobb previously worked for the HEA Subject Centre for History, Classics and Archaeology, where she researched the role of fieldwork in undergraduate degrees and graduate employability. Dr Cobb is the Founding Chairperson of the CIfA Equality and Diversity Group and founder of the everyDIGsexism Project which calls out sexism in archaeology using the #everyDIGsexism and celebrates good practice in equality and diversity in the profession using the hashtag #ArchSwan
