Grounds for election

Dr Green is an experienced archaeologist with specific interests in ecclesiastical archaeology, historic buildings and worked stone. She has worked in both the commercial and academic sectors of archaeology. Initially working as a field archaeologist, she graduated in 2001 with a PhD in archaeology. Dr Green has made a considerable contribution (both managerial and as a specialist) to the research project examining the historic excavation archive of Glastonbury Abbey resulting in the recently released monograph (Gilchrist and Green 2015, published by our society) which has been heralded as a landmark for our understanding of British monasticism. In her role as Post-Excavation Manager and Historic Buildings specialist for Context One Archaeological Services Ltd she co-ordinates and is responsible for the company’s post-excavation, reporting and publication programmes, as well as carrying out historic building recording projects and writing specialist reports on worked stone.
