Grounds for election

John Munns is an art historian and cultural historian specializing in medieval art and architecture . An Anglican priest, he returned to academia in 2006, and received his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2010. He taught briefly at the University of Bristol before returning to Cambridge, where he is currently a University Lecturer in the History of Art Department and a Fellow of Fitzwilliam College. Dr Munns’ recent and forthcoming publications include a monograph entitled Cross and Culture in Anglo-Norman England (in press with Boydell and Brewer), articles in The Burlington Magazine and the Transactions of the Cambridge Bibliographical Society, and chapters in several edited volumes, including Envisioning Christ on the Cross: Ireland and the Early Medieval West (2013), Durham Cathedral: Community, Fabric and Culture (2014/15) and The Crusades and Visual Culture (2014/15).
