Grounds for election

David Ingham has supervised research excavations at Water Newton and Vindolanda Roman forts, and domestic Roman sites at Piddington and Nassington in Northamptonshire. He now works mainly on Albion’s analysis and publications programme and has has co-authored several monographs published by East Anglian Archaeology and Albion Archaeology, as well as several journal articles. The main grounds for election are the recognition of his outstanding work as Secretary to both the South Midlands and East Midlands Regional Groups of the Council for British Archaeology. He has been largely responsible for organising their annual and bi-annual regional conferences for some years, which regularly attract audiences of well over one hundred, as well as maintaining both websites. He has therefore brought recent developments in archaeology to the notice of both professional and amateur archaeologists throughout the East and South Midlands, and has an outstanding reputation in these areas.
