Grounds for election

Dr Farrell is a leading Palynological and Environmental Archaeological Scientist. She has made a considerable contribution to knowledge of Orkney, Britain and Malta in furthering understanding of human - environment interactions in prehistory and later archaeology. She has written numerous papers and reports, including papers on prehistoric environmental change and landuse, and has organised international meetings on environmental archaeology bringing interdisciplinary research scientists together. Dr Farrell has led research on the environmental reconstruction of the early Maltese landscape as part of the FRAGSUS ERC funded project, and has contributed to the ERC ToTL project in reconstructing Neolithic landscapes in Britain.
