Richard Holdsworth is the Director of Preservation and Education at the Chatham Historic Dockyard Trust. He has played a major role in the development and growth of the Trust since 1985. He is currently responsible for the management and interpretation of 47 Ancient Scheduled Monuments, three historic ships and extensive museum collections relating to the most complete dockyard from the age of sail in Europe. Author and lecturer. Awarded MBE ( 2009) for services to heritage in Kent.
