Liam Sims is a curator in the Rare Books Department at Cambridge University Library, where his work has ranged from coordinating digitisation projects to researching the provenance of incunabula. He has published on the history of book collecting, with articles in the Book Collector and the Transactions of the Cambridge Bibliographical Society, for which he is also Assistant Editor and Honorary Secretary, as well as contributing over 30 entries to CUL blogs. He has curated a number of exhibitions, including 'Stores of Heavenly Learning' at Elton Hall (2011), marking the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, and contributed to Cambridge's recent 600th anniversary exhibition, 'Lines of Thought'. He was Chair of the Historic Libraries Forum from 2014 to 2017. Earlier in his career he catalogued the library of the Malthus family at Jesus College, Cambridge, worked in the Wren Library at Trinity College, Cambridge, and also as a guide for the Royal Collection.
