Grounds for election

Jeremy Musson is a leading authority on the history of the British country house. His wide experience and knowledge make him eminently suitable for election to the society. After working as an asistant curator for the National Trust in 1993-5 he moved to Country Life. From 1998-2007 he was Architectural Editor of the magazine and in 2005–2007 presented the BBC 2 series The Curious House Guest. He is a member of Ely Cathedral FAC, a trustee of Stowe House Preservation Trust and lectures widely (including for the Cambridge Building History Masters course). Since 2007, he has worked on conservation planning advisory projects with the National Trust and St Paul’s Cathedral. His books include The Drawing Room, 2014, English Country House Interiors, 2011, English Ruins, 2011, Up and Downstairs, 2009.
