Grounds for election

Timothy Duke has been Norroy & Ulster King of Arms since 2014, subsequent to holding the offices of Rouge Dragon Pursuivant and Chester Herald. In his capacity as Registrar (2001-2007), he was responsible for ensuring that the recording of all new pedigrees, grants of arms and Royal licences etc. were accurate and in order as public records. In addition to creating and confirming grants of arms, and publishing on specific areas of heraldry, he has - since 1994 - been Honorary Secretary of the Harleian Society. In this capacity, he has seen seven significant works, including "The Heraldry of Foreigners in England, 1400-1700", through publication. His diligence, tenacity and scholarship has ensured the high calibre of these works. He has lectured on heraldic subjects across the globe, and, is Honorary Genealogist of the Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George, responsible for its members' armorial banners and stall plates in St Paul's Cathedral.
