Grounds for election

Robin Densem has worked as an archaeologist for over 4 decades. He contributed to the creation of safeguards for archaeology in the 1970s and 1980s (Southwark & Lambeth). The way in which UK commercial archaeology now operates owes much to the pioneering initiatives of that time. During his career he has increased our understanding of archaeology in Greater London. He has disseminated information via his work with the Museum of London Archaeology Service and others. For 38 years he taught evening classes (Birkbeck College). He helped organise training excavations (Syon Park, Isleworth) and has conducted numerous walking tours of London, Verulamium (and elsewhere). He introduced many people to archaeology and helped develop the knowledge of professionals.Robin is now employed by a commercial consultancy, Archaeology Collective. Beyond this employment, he continues to be active within several archaeological organisations. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.
