Grounds for election

Dr Griffiths is a prehistorian who specialises in scientific dating and is a Lecturer in Archaeology at the University of Central Lancashire and a Visiting Lecturer at the Australian National University. Seren’s work re-examines key events in prehistory, including the Mesolithic-Neolithic transition, and post-glacial human-environment interaction. She has directed research projects in Britain at Bryn Celli Ddu and on the Milfield Basin, as well as being a key contributor to several international projects in Serbia, Romania, Spain, Malta, Germany, France, Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, and Holland. Seren has over 40 papers in peer-reviewed academic publications, including in Current Anthropology, Radiocarbon, Journal of Archaeological Science and Quaternary International. She is on the Editorial Board of the journal Quaternary Palaeoecology and Past Environments. She is a Member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
