Grounds for election

Jennifer Wexler (a US citizen resident in the UK since 2006) is an archaeologist and cultural heritage specialist. Her doctorate was on Copper and Bronze Age rock-cut tombs in Sicily, and she has been continuously occupied in research and employment since 2001, conducting post-doctoral fieldwork in Sicily and Benin (West Africa), and working on projects at the Horniman Museum, UCL, the University of East Anglia and elsewhere. She has excavated in the US, Ireland, Syria, Italy, Egypt and the UK. She has lectured in London, at the Museo Arqueologico Nacional, Madrid and World Archaeological Congresses in Dublin and Kyoto, and is a guide lecturer at Andante Travels. She was Bronze Age Index Manager, Micropast Project, British Museum-UCL (2014–16) and is currently Digital Research Project Producer for the African Rock Art Image Project at the BM. Her experience and skills, combined with research output, teaching and public outreach work, make Jennifer a good candidate for the Fellowship.
