Marion Colthorpe has devoted herself to the study of the Elizabethan Court, a devotion which has produced her master-work, "The Elizabethan Court Day by Day",published on-line by the Folger Shakespeare Library . This is an invaluable database providing a comprehensive and authoritative account of the location of and events at the court of Elizabeth I. It is a substantial scholarly resource, which by using the possibilities of on-line publication enables new discoveries to be added to it as they are made. Marion Colthorpe has published articles in 'Archaeologia Cantiana', 'Norfolk Archaeology', 'Recusant History ' and 'Surrey Archaeological Collections' and made contributions to 'Records of Early English Drama Newsletter'. She has published books on royal visits to Cambridge from Elizabeth I to Elizabeth II and Queen Elizabeth I and Harlow.
