Grounds for election

Dr Horsfall Turner was recipient of three academic awards during her studies and as an architectural historian she has occupied posts in the academic, conservation and museum worlds. While working as an Architectural Investigator at English Heritage she was seconded to Survey of London and since 2014 has worked at the V&A, where she is responsible for 100,000 design process drawings and the national collection of architectural drawings. In addition to curating exhibitions she has published widely in learned journals (including Antiquaries' Journal) and is especially interested in the role of prints in the later reception of architectural styles. She has participated in research projects in UK and Europe and sits on committees of SAHGB, Attingham Trust and Westminster Abbey Fabric Commission. She lectures on architectural history at Cambridge University and the Bartlett School of Architecture. In 2013 she presented 'Dreaming the Impossible: Unbuilt Britain' on BBC4.
