Cultural Tourism and Special Tourism Projects at Department of Culture, Media and Sport. She joined the Civil Service after graduating from Oxford University in Archaeology and Anthropology, and completed an MA in Art History at Birkbeck College while working at DCMS: this fired a lasting research interest in Egyptian Revival architecture in England. Lizzie’s strategy and policy roles have included Head of Archaeology Policy and Deputy Head of Public Engagement at DCMS, Senior Policy Advisor (Growth Areas) at ODPM, and Head of Strategy and Delivery for the National Museums Directors Conference. At DCMS she was also influential in shaping Heritage Protection Reform and the draft Heritage Protection Bill.
