Grounds for election

An authority on the archaeology and historic landscape of Cornwall where she has worked for English Heritage (now Historic England) and Cornwall Archaeology Unit for over thirty years. She has particular expertise in the conservation and management of sites, monuments, buildings and landscapes. Her research and publications focus on early medieval Cornwall, notably Early Cornish Sculpture (Volume XI, British Academy Corpus of Anglo-Saxon Stone Sculpture 2013, with Elisabeth Okasha), awarded the 2015 Holyer an Gof Cup by Gorsedd Kernow for the most outstanding publication about Cornwall or in Cornish. She has published several articles on the sculpture, church and landscape of early medieval Cornwall, and on conserving Cornwall’s past, and written 90+ reports for Cornwall Council Historic Environment Service and Cornwall Archaeology Unit. A member of the Cornwall AONB advisory group, the Truro Cathedral Fabric Advisory Committee, and Truro Diocesan Advisory Committee (2000–10).
