Grounds for election

Dr Walker is an archaeologist specialising in the Neolithic flint and stone industries of north-western Europe. After working as a part-time lecturer at Bristol University and a site assistant at Cotswold Archaeology, she was appointed lead Project Officer on the HLF-funded Ecademy Programme that is creating a large digital archive of documents, maps, and related material relating to the history of the New Forest. As part of this work she has organized conferences and exhibitions, including the recent display 'Maps: The New Forest Unfolded' in the New Forest Centre in Lyndhurst. Publications include papers in Past and Stonechat, a chapter in the Oxford Handbook of Neolithic Europe co-written with V Heyd, and the 2018 volume entitled Axeheads and Identity published by Archaeopress. Dr Walker has served as treasurer of the Implement Petrology Group, and is currently editor of their Newsletter.
