Grounds for election

Dr Nimura is an award-winning prehistorian and an exceptionally talented early career researcher. Her major contributions have been in enhancing our understanding of Scandinavian and Australian rock art, and of Celtic coins and Celtic art, creating accessible research resources. She was primary author of the successful £1.5+ million grant application for the ‘CITiZAN: coastal and intertidal zone archaeological network’ project and has an impressive track record in project management. She already has three major published monographs and eight published peer-reviewed papers, with six further publications forthcoming. She is skilled not only in writing but also in editing, as reflected in her position as Assistant Editor, Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society, inter alia. She has lectured and supervised at several institutions including the Universities of Oxford and Reading and Griffith University. Her committee posts include that of Expert Adviser to the European Research Council.
