Grounds for election

Rachael Kiddey is a leading member of a new generation of contemporary archaeologists. She is best known for her work on the archaeology of homelessness, as summarised in her Oxford University Press monograph "Homeless Heritage" (2017). She has published widely on contemporary, historical and public archaeology in a range of international journals, including Journal of Social Archaeology, Journal of Contemporary Archaeology, Archaeological Review from Cambridge, and Public Archaeology. From 2016-2018 she was post-doctoral researcher for the AHRC/ESRC research project "Architectures of Displacement", which examines the material culture of the 2015 refugee crisis. From Autumn 2018 she holds a three year British Academy Postdoctoral Fellowship, expanding her work on refugee archaeology.
