Grounds for election

Paul Crane’s research interests centre on the relationship between art, design and antiquarianism. Professionally he specialises in 18th and 19th century English and European porcelain. He is a leading light in the English Ceramic Circle and has published a number of articles in their journal. He is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Art Scholars and a Freeman of the City of London, Vice President of the Bewdley Civic Society, Trustee of the Museum of Worcester Porcelain and of the Abberley Hall Foundation. He has acquired and meticulously restored Redthorne House, Bewdley, the home of the antiquary Dr Peter Prattinton, whose collection forms one of the Society’s most significant topographical holdings.
