Senior Curator, York Museums Trust with managerial responsibility across the collections (archaeology, natural Science and numismatic) of the Yorkshire Museum. Has been curator and project leader for a number of major exhibitions at the museum including Viking: Rediscover the Legend touring exhibition (jointly with the British Museum) in 2016-9. Doctoral thesis at Cambridge University on ‘Coinage of Hiberno-Scandinavian Dublin and Ireland’. Has published widely on Viking Age and early medieval coinage and monetary matters. In 2017 winner of Blunt Prize for significant contribution to the study and interpretation of numismatics. In 2016 – 2018 Committee Member, Society for Medieval Archaeology.
