Grounds for election
She is director of the Florida State University excavations at the Etruscan/Roman/ Medieval site of Cetamura del Chianti in Tuscany (since 1983). She has published articles on Etruscan and Roman archaeology in Etruscan Studies, Studi Etruschi and the Journal of Roman Archaeology and articles on Renaissance and later art history and collecting in the Art Bulletin, L’Arte, and The Journal of the History of Collections. She has worked with the Vatican Museums, the Memphis Museum Systems, Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, the North Carolina Museum of Art (Raleigh), Morristown Museum of Art, National Archaeological Museum, Dallas Museum of Art, and Brigham Young University Art Museum. Author and co-editor of The Sanctuary of the Etruscan Artisans at Cetamura del Chianti; Archaeology of Sanctuaries and Ritual in Etruria; Etruscan Myth, Sacred History and Legend; and the Corpus Speculorum Etruscorum. Also editor of The Encyclopedia of the History of Classical Archaeology.
