Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at the Institute of Continuing Education, University of Cambridge and Fellow, St Catharine's College. Extensive research, publication on Iron Age/Roman Britain and more recently in the field of conflict archaeology with particular focus on the Channel Islands. This has included study of artefacts produced under occupation or by the interned, fieldwork on camp sites, and implications of occupation heritage in the present. Books include single author Creolised Bodies and Hybrid Identities: Examining the Later Iron Age and Early Roman Periods of Essex and Hertfordshire (2006), Legacies of Occupation: Archaeology, Heritage and Memory in the Channel Islands (2014), On British Soil: Nazi Persecution in the Channel Islands (2018); and co-edited volumes Cultural Heritage and Prisoners of War: Creativity Behind Barbed Wire (2012), Cultural Heritage and Prisoners of War: Creativity Behind Barbed Wire (2013).
