Dr Kelcey Wilson-Lee is a historian of medieval Britain and, most recently, author of a group biography of the daughters of Edward I, Daughters of Chivalry: The Forgotten Children of Edward I (Pan Macmillan/Picador, March 2019). She took degrees in history at NYU and Oxford before completing a PhD on ‘Burial and Commemoration among the North Midland Nobility and Gentry, c.1200-1536’ under Prof. Nigel Saul at Royal Holloway. She has written for a wide range of scholarly journals (including the English Heritage Historical Review, Derbyshire Archaeological Journal, Church Monuments, and Transactions of the Monumental Brass Society) on medieval built heritage, has served as a member of the Church Monuments Society Council and as Reviews Editor of their journal, and taught courses on history and material culture at the University of Cambridge, the University of London and the Victoria and Albert Museum. She is currently writing a second book on post-medieval reception of medieval history.
