Faya Causey worked at the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC as Curator, Academic Programs from 1994-1999; as Associate Dean, 1999-2001 and as Head, Academic Programs from 2001-2017. Before that she taught at the Department of Art, California State University, Long Beach from 1985-1995 Publications include: Amber and the Ancient World,2012 (Getty, Los Angeles) and the on-line digital catalogue of the Ancient Carved Amber in the J.Paul Getty Museum(Getty,Los Angeles,2012) Faya contributed to the recent publication A Michelangelo Discovery, The Rothschild Bronzes, Cambridge University Press, 2018 on The Fantastic Animals of The Rothschild Bronzes attributed to Michelangelo. She is currently researching Cezanne and Geology for a forthcoming exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts. Faya is currently online reviews editor for museums and museums education for the College art Association and a Board Member for the Archaeological Institute of America, DC Society.
