Grounds for election

Richard has been a professional archaeologist for 34 years. He was a PO at the Exeter Museums and Cambridge Archaeological Units and for 10 years a senior PM at OA East. He has also excavated sites in France, Norway and the Dakhleh Oasis, Egypt. He is currently a Director at CgMs/RPS Heritage and heads their East Anglian office. His main area of expertise lies in the archaeology of East Anglia, of all periods, but particularly land division & boundaries in the MBA to EIA and settlement/village formation in the Early-Mid Anglo-Saxon. He has published research in EAA, PPS, ASSAH, ISAS and PCAS. He is a regular and engaging speaker, presenting at international, national and regional conferences (ISAS, MSRG, CA Live, CAS, TAG, CBA) and at the universities of Oxford, Cambridge and UCLan. He has been a full Member of CIfA since 2004 and is a Member of the MSRG, CAS and Dakhleh Oasis Society. Locally he has helped set up two societies and is Hon. Pres. of the Fen Edge Archaeology Group.
