Revd. Rupert Toovey is a church archaeologist specialising in wall paintings; currently researching 12th century examples in Sussex. Lecturer on ecclesiastical art to clergy in Chichester and Southwark dioceses. Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Art scholars. Past Chair of Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Art & Antiques International Professional Group Board, building bridges between academia and fine art business, as well as advising governments on cultural heritage. Trustee of Horsham Museum. Ordained Anglican priest; honorary associate priest, St Mary's Storrington.
