Grounds for election

Helen is a Development Advice Archaeologist, Historic England. Helen’s doctoral thesis provided a unique insight into our understanding of the urban connectivity of the Roman province of Baetica. She has over 20 years experience in all aspects of field archaeology, landscape studies, research at home and abroad. Since 2009, Helen has worked for Historic England (latterly English Heritage) in the East Midlands and South West, where she has developed active and collaborative partnerships that seek to protect and preserve the historic environment. Helen has used these skills to good effect in the provision of advice in a series of complex and high-profile development and infrastructure projects. Helen has contributed to a range of reports and publications, notably - (Halkon, Millett & Woodhouse (eds.) (2015) 'Hayton, East Yorkshire: archaeological studies of Iron Age and Roman landscapes.' In her personal capacity, Helen is an enthusiastic mentor for aspiring archaeologists.
