Grounds for election

Following student excavations in UK & Europe, Kayt has been employed in commercial archaeology since the late 1990’s. She has worked on Romano-British pottery at Oxford Archaeology, Wessex Archaeology (during which time she was seconded to Historic England), the Surrey County Archaeology Unit, & has undertaken freelance research. Kayt has analysed substantial ceramic assemblages, such as those from large infrastructure projects at Heathrow (T5) and Springhead (HS1) & also has expertise in ceramic building materials and painted wall plaster. During her time in Surrey, Kayt updated the County archaeological archive guidance & helped secure a new archive store. She is a well-known pottery specialist with numerous publication contributions & regularly presents at conferences. An advocate for improving working conditions across the sector, she recently co-authored the BAJR Respect in Archaeology Guide. She is currently a senior archaeologist and ceramics specialist at ASE/UCL.
