John is a Principal Advisor, Heritage at Risk, Historic England John is a specialist in historic building conservation and archaeology who has developed an impressive record in the sphere of heritage management and protection. He was formerly the Assistant County Archaeologist for Cambridgeshire and an Inspector of Ancient Monuments for Yorkshire, Humberside and the East of England. John has managed and delivered a diverse range of restoration projects that include - Sutton Common, South Yorkshire; Humber Wetlands; and, Stow Maris First World War Aerodrome in Essex. John is a regular lecturer for the Certificate of Historic Buildings Conservation Course delivered by Cambridge University. Since 2015 John has provided specialist advice to the Antarctic Heritage Trust in relation to the conservation and preservation of historic sites and properties managed by the trust in one of world's most challenging environments.
