Grounds for election

Sadie Watson is one of MOLA’s most experienced and respected archaeologists She has worked in archaeology since gaining her BSc (Bournemouth) in 1995. She completed an MA (Leicester) in 2002 and is currently studying for a PhD in Professional Archaeology (Lampeter), due to be completed in 2014. She is also an elected member of Council for the Institute for Archaeologists. She joined MOLA in 1998 and since 2008 has been a Project Officer, responsible for sites with large field teams. For the last 3 years she has been Site Director for the major excavations at Bucklersbury House, the largest excavation in London for over 20 years. The majority of her excavation experience has been on complex multi-period sites, mostly Roman and medieval. Sadie has published thematic MOLA Monographs and Study Series on London excavations, as well as articles in several journals. She has delivered lectures at numerous venues, academic and popular.
