Grounds for election

Cressida is a professional archivist, and has worked at Canterbury Cathedral since 1997, where she is now Head of Archives and Library and also City Archivist for Canterbury. She has particular interests in monastic and church archives, medieval charters and seals. She is also interested in public engagement and making history and heritage accessible to a wide audience and contributes regularly to the cathedral’s social media activity and internal publications, and has also made a number of appearances in recent documentaries. She is keen to engage with organisations and institutions beyond Canterbury, is a member of the Publications Committee of the Kent Archaeological Society and the Editorial Board of ‘Archives and Records', and edits the newsletter for the Cathedral Archives, Libraries and Collections Association. She would greatly appreciate access to the Society’s resources and the opportunity to engage with its events and activities.
