Grounds for election

Local authority archaeologist for 25 years, latterly as County Archaeologist for North Yorkshire. Currently employed part-time by North Yorkshire County Record Office in Northallerton, and as part-time Assistant Curator of Archaeological Archives at the Yorkshire Museum, York. MSc thesis on production and dissemination of archaeological grey literature published in Internet Archaeology 17, 2005. Currently a part-time PhD student in the Department of Archaeology at the University of York, researching the influence of neoclassicism in the 18th-century designed landscapes of Yorkshire. Trustee of the Landscape Research Centre, a registered charity conducting archaeological survey and research in the Vale of Pickering, North Yorkshire. Trustee of the Yorkshire Gardens Trust (YGT), a charity working to conserve and foster the county’s garden heritage for the benefit of present and future generations.
