Grounds for election

Dr Karl Harrison is a research-active archaeologist, concentrating on the adaptation and use of forensic fire investigation techniques to better understand the processes of structural burning preserved in the archaeological record and has directed excavations at Haslar Hospital, Gosport and Ascension Island; and, investigated and written on the patterns of burning at Çatalhöyük, West Stow, and Must Farm. Dr Harrison is a specialist Forensic Service Provider dealing with forensic ecology disciplines and mass fatality events, with a strong operational background in crime scene investigation. Karl is Visiting Fellow at Oxford University’s Wellcome Centre for Ethics & Humanities; Chair of the CIfA Forensic Archaeology Special Interest Group; and, Visiting Professor of Forensic Science, University of West London.
