Grounds for election

Dr Molloy is Associate Professor at UCD School of Archaeology (2018-) where, amongst other things he founded and directs the Laboratory for Artefact Biographies. He is a recognised international leader in later prehistoric European archaeology, especially in SE and NW Europe. He leads an ERC Consolidator project (2018-2023) ‘The Fall 1200 BC’ which examines the role of migration and conflict in social crises at end of the Bronze Age in South-eastern Europe. He also co-directs a major fieldschool in Serbia. Dr Molloy is widely published in high impact journals as well as leading publications of monographs. He serves as a reviewer for many leading international journals and grant giving agencies. He contributes widely to international conferences, where he frequently organises sessions or independent workshops. He leads a team of postdoctoral and doctoral researchers. He is chair of the Irish Institute of Hellenic Studies at Athens.
