Grounds for election

Naomi Payne is a finds specialist with over 10 years experience. She holds a PhD on the landscape archaeology of medieval bishops’ estates from Bristol University and has worked as a local government archaeologist in Gloucestershire, Somerset and Devon. She was formerly Finds Liaison Officer for Somerset and is currently employed as the Finds and Archives Manager for AC Archaeology. She specialises in Roman to post-medieval metalwork, small finds, pottery and ceramic building material. She is a Research Associate at the University of Exeter and is currently working on the metal finds from the University’s excavation at Ipplepen. Naomi’s work has been published in journals including Britannia, Anglo-Saxon England and the British Numismatic Journal, and the local journals for Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire and Somerset. She has also contributed to numerous grey literature reports and a Finds Research Group datasheet on medieval/post-medieval copper alloy cooking vessels.
