Grounds for election

Louise is a landscape archaeologist and a leading expert in the discipline of analytical survey. She has worked in archaeology, mainly in the public sector, since 1996. Extensively published by the Royal Commission Wales with numerous articles and specialist reports. Published articles include Pembrokeshire promontory forts (Proc. Preh. Soc.), the late medieval landscape of Troed y Rhiw, Ceredigion (Med. Arch.) and Skomer Island where she jointly leads a research project. Editor of the award-winning Welsh Slate (2015). Involved in major public sector heritage projects. She helped devise and win €4.9 million EU funds for the Ireland-Wales CHERISH Project (2017-2023) and is one of the project archaeologists. Part of a small inter-agency team that has written and is leading the delivery of Wales’s Historic Environment and Climate Change Sector Adaptation Plan and part of the core team that wrote and submitted The Slate Landscape of Northwest Wales World Heritage Nomination (Jan 2020).
