Robert Kinsey is Development Editor at Adam Matthew Digital, an academic publisher of digital collections of primary sources for teaching and research in the field of history. He is a medieval historian and was awarded a PhD by the University of York in 2009. An active member of the Monumental Brass Society he sits on its Executive Council and has been Hon. Treasurer from 2014. Dr Kinsey’s particular research interests are in the medieval English gentry and nobility, funerary monuments, and heraldry, and he has spoken widely on these subjects in the UK and overseas. His publications have examined the Thorpe and Creke knightly families, their monumental brasses and broader commemorative strategies. He has worked in academic history publishing since 2012 and in his current role builds partnerships with archives, libraries and museums around the world to digitally preserve heritage materials and develop online resources for the advancement of higher education.
