Author of eight monographs based on archaeological material; editor or three volumes dealing with key issues in the ancient world; author of over 80 articles in peer-reviewed journals and some 40 book reviews. Has excavated widely in Greece, Albania, Italy, and Australia. Currently co-director of the Lofkënd Archaeological Project (Albania) and the Ancient Methone Archaeological Project (in Greece). Has supervised numerous doctoral dissertations in Archaeology and Classics.
