Grounds for election

Paul Spoerry is Regional Manager at Oxford Archaeology East and was Head of CAMARC before it joined OA in 2008. He has been on the Board of CIfA since 2014 and has sat on its Registered Organisation Committee. Paul was for many years part-time archaeology tutor for Madingley Hall, University of Cambridge and served as External Examiner. He has been on the Medieval Pottery Research Group committee and is President of The Cambridge Archaeology Field Group. Since gaining his PhD, Paul has continued his work on ceramics, both freelance and as a pottery specialist for the Museum of London, and has published widely including the 2016 HE-funded Production and Distribution of Medieval Pottery in Cambridgeshire. His excavations have resulted in monographs on medieval urban and rural Peterborough and papers on settlement and resource exploitation in medieval Fenland. Paul is currently involved with the publication of Saxon Hinxton and research into early salt exploitation on the Fenland coast.
