Grounds for election

Helen Wickstead is Course Director of the MA Museum and Gallery Studies at Kingston University. She has worked as an archaeologist and museum professional in the UK, France, Czech Republic, Turkey and Sudan. She is Museum Mentor for the Society for Museum Archaeology and Member of the Finds Committee of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists. Helen has written widely on prehistoric archaeology, histories of archaeology, the relationships between archaeology and visual art and the histories of obscene collections in museums. She has directed excavations at nationally important archaeological monuments, co-ordinated art residency programmes at Stonehenge, and developed temporary exhibitions on archaeological themes for a range of museums and galleries. Helen's publications include studies of secret museums, aerial archaeology, concrete megaliths and obscene books known as "Soho Bibles".
